Who will be the Food Bank of Greenwood County's first Chopped Champion?

Who will make the cut and who will be “CHOPPED”??? Who has what it takes to become the Food Bank of Greenwood County's very first “CHOPPED” Champion? The "Chopped"-style competition offers extreme pressure against the clock for contestants, AND thrill and excitement for all those in attendance.

On Monday October 16th, the Food Bank will host its first competition at Uptown Market on Maxwell Avenue. The event raises money for the nonprofit, which provides nutritious food for those residents in Greenwood County who need it. The fundraiser includes four local chefs, who will call on their culinary skills as they face off against each other to prepare a spectacular three-course meal consisting of an appetizer, entree and dessert. The catch? During each course, the chefs MUST use all the ingredients provided in the mystery basket. At the end of each course, a panel of guest judges will score the chefs' creations in the areas of taste, presentation and creativity. The chef with the lowest score will be "CHOPPED'!

Our local CHOPPED celebrity chefs hail from these fine eating establishments. You are guaranteed to be entertained and wowed! Who will you be “cheering on” to become the Food Bank of Greenwood County’s CHOPPED Champion?

Tickets for the event are on sale now at restaurants who's chefs are participating in the fundraising competition. At the event, chefs will plate one dish for judges and another, identical one, for the silent auction. Ticket holders will get to see the action on projection screens from Custom Audio and Lighting and enjoy food from restaurants and a cash bar. They can also place silent auction bids for the chef's dishes.
