If you'd love to have a buffet, but the floor space just isn't there, you could build, or you could move, or you could purchase a 6 foot long counter-top Halo Heat Display Case, which would create much less drama and expense than the first two options. This stainless steel unit with a painted black exterior is spacious enough for 5 full-size pans or a number of combinations of different pan and sheet pan sizes. A pan insert with grids comes standard with the case. Its front is made of curved glass and has a self-service opening along its left side. You can open it vertically to a right angle for better cleaning. The perimeter of the glass is buffered by a rubber gasket to prevent damage. Diners won't be affected by the temperature of the case because of the front-mounted heat guard. Ten coated shatter proof bulbs in two overhead lighting zones create a glow in your case which shows off your cooking to its best advantage. The lighting zones have separate power switches. Condensation won't prevent your customers from seeing your fare, because steam escapes from the service opening and no water is added to the unit to replace it. Halo Heat emanating from two heating zones in the bottom of the case wraps your foods in warm stillness to preserve its freshly cooked perfection. Each heating zone is thermostatically controlled with setting ranges of 1 to 10 and separate heat indicators. The back of the case has sliding glass doors to allow stocking and cleaning. The interior of these doors is mirrored to offer a reflection of the other side of your cooking to people making choices in front of the case. Four inch legs are supplied with this case.
