Twenty-twenty has been a big year for home cooking. From those who already loved to cook to those just learning how to make a simple meal, cooking at home has become a huge part of people's daily routines this year. This holiday season gift loved ones in your life with some new kitchen gadgets they'll love.

With many adults working from home, that cup of coffee first thing in the morning is important. With no reason to treat themselves by getting coffee from a coffee shop, bring the coffee shop to your loved ones' home. There are so many ways to make coffee and there are just as many options when it comes to coffee makers. From simple coffee makers to espresso machine to one-cup coffee makers, there's a coffee maker for everyone who needs that jolt of caffeine to wake up in the morning. If they already have a good coffee maker, coffee mugs and other coffee accessories such as coffee filters, pods, pod organizers can also make good gift options.

For anyone who loves to whip up cookies made from scratch or try new dessert recipes, baking items are a perfect gift idea. A pretty cake stand, a pastry set complete with pastry bags and a variety of tips, new cake pans or cookie sheets, or any number of smaller baking items such as decorating combs, a silicone baking mat, or baking beans are all items any baker would love to have. If your loved one bakes a lot and uses the same hand mixer over and over again, upgrading them to a stand mixer could make their year.

While cooking at home has become the norm for many over the last several months, that doesn't mean that everyone is happy or proficient at making dinner every night. Help relieve the pressure by gifting your busy parent friends or non-cooking friends with a pressure cooker or crockpot. These appliances are great as they will work on cooking the food while your loved ones carry on with their day.

For any loved ones who enjoy cooking and like trying new things, there are several cooking items that can bring some fun to the kitchen. Crepe pans or a crepe maker not only bring a delicious meal to the kitchen but also a flair of French cuisine. Fondue is typically viewed as being reserved for very fancy occasions, but it doesn't have to be. A fondue pot, cheese, and a selection of potatoes, meat, and other nibbles to dip into the cheese are all that is needed to have a fondue party at home. Ice cream is a universal treat but making ice cream with an ice cream maker is an adventure that everyone will remember (particularly children). Being able to make your own ice cream trumps buying a carton at the store.

Lastly, while the kitchen is one of the most used rooms in a household, it's also one that can frequently be overlooked when items need to be replaced or new items added. It can be easy to become complacent and used to working around items that are missing or don't work properly. Measuring cups and spoons, spatulas, apple slicers, turners, oven mitts, potholders, aprons and even tea towels, are just a few of the smaller items in a kitchen that tend to be overlooked when out shopping. Gifting a few of these smaller items together may not be the most exciting present on the surface but it's one that will surely be appreciated and thoughtful.

Happy gifting!
