Now Ya Cookin'

Take some inexpensive ingredients and make them taste like a million dollars!
Serves: 6-8 Difficulty Level: 1 (of 5) Ready In: 4 1/2 hours
INGREDIENTS:
- 3 pounds beef sirloin
- 3 tablespoons cornstarch, for dusting meat
- 3 cloves garlic, grated or finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons ginger, grated
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 3 red bell peppers, sliced
- 3 yellow bell peppers, sliced
- 1-8-ounce can tomato sauce
- 4 tablespoons brown sugar
- 3/4 cup soy sauce
- Ground black pepper, to taste
- 8 cups cooked rice
PROCEDURE:
- In a large skillet, sear steak in olive oil until brown on both sides
- Remove steak to cutting board and slice into 1-inch thick strips
- Place the sliced steak in crock-pot, then dust with cornstarch and stir
- Add remaining ingredients to crock-pot, then place lid on top and cook on high for 4 hours or low for 6 hours.
- Serve atop cooked rice.
