Ingredients:
- 2 sticks unsalted butter, room temperature
- 2 cups flour
- 1-1/4 cups orange M&Ms (or color of your choice)
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup dark chocolate chips
- 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 3/4 cup dark cocoa powder
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Directions:
- In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and both sugars. Once sufficiently creamed, add in the two eggs and vanilla extract.
- In a separate mixing bowl, add together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
- Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and stir.
- Once the ingredients have been mixed together, add in the dark chocolate chips.
- Add the M&Ms and stir gently. Try not to break the M&Ms.
- Line two baking sheets with parchment paper. Scoop out the dough in balls and place on the baking sheets. Do not flatten the dough balls.
- Gently press extra M&Ms onto the dough balls if desired and bake in the oven at 350°F for 8-10 minutes or until cookies are firm around the edges when pressed. They should still be soft in the middle.
- Remove from the oven and let cool before serving.
