Ingredients:
Brownie Layer
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup Hershey's special dark cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
Cream Cheese Layer
- 8oz cream cheese, room temperature
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Orange food coloring
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line an 8x8 baking pan with parchment paper and spray with nonstick spray. Set aside.
- For the brownie layer, combine the sugar, flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder in a medium-sized bowl.
- In another bowl, combine the eggs, vegetable pol, and vanilla extract until thoroughly mixed.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients into one bowl, mixing until all ingredients are just combined.
- Save 1/4 cup of the brownie batter and set it aside before pouring the rest into the baking pan.
- For the cream cheese layer, combine the cream cheese, sugar, egg, and vanilla extract in a medium-sized bowl.
- Add the orange food coloring and stir to combine.
- Gently spread the mixture on top of the batter in the baking pan.
- Drop spoonfuls of the saved batter on top of the cream cheese layer and gently swirl using a knife or toothpick.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until set. Remove from the oven and let cool before serving.
