dog licking nose lying on back on pile of dog treats

For many who have pets, they aren't just pets but our best companion. And since the holiday season is about celebrating those most important in our lives, it only seems fair to treat our dogs to some holiday goodies too. These pumpkin and peanut butter dog treats are not only easy to make but are also healthy for man's best friend. Since these are "no bake" treats and instead are popped in the freezer, using a silicone mold is preferred as it makes removing the treats intact easier. If the shape of the treats does not matter, a mini muffin sheet lined with parchment paper could also be used.

Ingredients:
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1/2 cup natural peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil, melted or softened
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
Directions:
  1. Combine all ingredients in a medium or large sized mixing bowl.
  2. Add 1 large tablespoon to each shape in the silicone mold to make 12-15 treats.
  3. Place molds in the freezer for 1-2 hours or until firm.
  4. Store treats in the freezer and defrost for 1-2 minutes before serving to your dog.
