While yes, you can find many recipe variations for kebabs on Pinterest or the internet at large, unless you are following along for a specific meat marinade or flavoring, a recipe isn't really necessary. Simply cut your choice of meat up into chunks (or skip the meat, if you're vegetarian) along with whatever vegetables you prefer. To make this process even easier, use a package of stew meat as it's already cut into chunks, meaning you will only need to cut any pieces that seem too large, rather than all the meat. Adding a few pieces of pineapple will not only add a sweet flavor to your kebabs but also serve as another preparation shortcut as pineapple chunks are canned. Sprinkle each kebab with salt and pepper or your favorite combo seasoning to add a bit of flavor prior to cooking.
The most important aspect of this whole process is the actual cooking part--no one likes to eat burnt food. You also don't want your skewers to burn if you are using wood ones over metal. On a grill, kebabs should take around 10-12 minutes to cook or until all sides of the meat are cooked and the vegetables are tender. If making kebabs in the oven, set the kebabs on a baking tray and place the tray in the oven on broil for around 15 minutes. Be sure to turn them over about halfway through, so both sides cook evenly.
To compliment your kebabs, add a salad or serve them over a bed of rice or couscous. Regardless of your sides and cooking method, clean-up for this meal is minimal.
