Hot chocolate is one of the coziest drinks out there. It's warm, chocolatey, and perfect for fall and winter as the days get shorter and the air gets chillier. Although you can purchase pre-made hot chocolate mix in the store, it oftentimes still seems to be lacking something--not to mention it can be expensive depending on the brand. Making hot chocolate mix at home is easy and cheaper than buying the pre-portioned packets in the store. You can also make a huge batch in no time that will last you until spring. Below is a tasty homemade hot chocolate mix that takes five minutes to make.

Ingredients:
  • 1 (8qt) box powdered milk
  • 1 lb jar non-dairy creamer
  • 1 lb powdered sugar
  • 1 lb box Nestle's Nesquik
  • Real cocoa powder (optional)
Directions:
  1. Thoroughly mix all ingredients together. If you'd like to add a richer taste, add some cocoa powder to the mix.
  2. Store in a large airtight container until ready for use.
  3. When making the hot chocolate, mix 1/3 part mix with 1 part hot water. Add marshmallows if desired.
