Now Ya Cookin'

This is delicious, can be made in any size pan, and couldn't be any easier to make.
Serves: 8 to 12 Difficulty level: 1 (of 5) Prep Time: 30 Minutes Ready In: 1 Hour
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 Batch biscuit dough. (Can be home made, boxed biscuit mix, or ready-to-bakes from the grocer.)
- 10 to 12 Peaches, depending on the size of the peach. (White peaches are less juicy, and better for baking.)
- 4 TBS (1/2 stick) butter or margarine
- 1/2 Cup sugar. (White or brown, either works. I prefer raw sugar.)
- Cinnamon, Nutmeg or Ginger to taste. (I've tried them all. They're all delicious.)
PROCEDURE:
- Preheat oven to 350°.
- Rinse, peel and slice your peaches. If you're mixing your own biscuit dough, store them in the refrigerator.
- Cover the bottom of a 9 x 13 baking pan with dough, about 1/3 full.
- Layer sliced peaches on top of dough.
- Melt butter and pour it over peaches.
- Sprinkle chosen sugar and spice over peaches.
- Bake for approximately 20 minutes at 350°, or until golden dough has risen around and over peaches. (Use the fork trick. When you can stick it in the bread and it comes out clean, it's done.)
- Serve warm with Vanilla ice cream for dessert, or with bacon and coffee for brunch.
Enjoy,
Chef Phil
Chef's thought: This works beautifully with any fruit. I happened to have perfected it with peaches due their abundance near my childhood home.
