Spring is the season of new beginnings. Flowers come out of hiding, animals end their
hibernation, and the variety of local produce begins to change as seasonal offerings switch over. Although it's easy
to find what you need at any time of year at the grocery store, produce can be more expensive when it's out of
season and must be imported. Knowing which fruits, vegetables, and herbs are in season in the spring could help you
save money the next time you go grocery shopping.
The following list of produce is what is in season during the Spring months of March, April, and May. Please note
that this is not a comprehensive list and that due to varied growing conditions, all produce may not be considered
in season in your area.
