The kitchen is one of the most important rooms in a home or restaurant, and for many, is considered to be the heart of the home. Because of its importance in everyday life--not only for eating purposes but also for general gathering--it's doubly important to have equipment that works for everyone. For that reason, several of the manufacturers that we carry at JES have equipment with ADA compliance specifically listed in the specifications section. This means that the product meets the American Disabilities Act requirements for height, depth, or other specifications.

For example, U-Line has an undercounter refrigerator that is ADA compliant for height, while John Boos offers several ADA work tables, and Hoshizaki manufactures an ADA compliant crescent cube combination ice machine and dispenser. Other companies that offer products with the ADA compliance label include Vollrath, T&S Brass, BK Resources, Marvel, and more. In addition to ADA compliance, these products also come with a variety of other health and safety labels such as NSF, ETL, ETL-Sanitation, CE, cULus, and Energy Star. State-of-the-art details including LED lighting or display screens, adjustable shelves and legs, antimicrobial protection, and field reversible doors, are also included among the list of specifications for many of these products, allowing for further customization.
